quality standards in the Coffee LabJuan Ramón Altamirano is the
cupper (taste evaluator) for a coop based in San Juan Rio Coco, in
Madriz, Nicaragua. He flew to Vermont yesterday to spend this
week with us cupping in our Coffee Lab to get "calibrated". Getting
"calibrated" means getting his taste buds on the same page as ours
so that in the next year and beyond we can talk apples to apples
when we're buying coffee from his Fair Trade...
